Moving Beyond Choreography-The Ministry of Prophetic Dance -Apostle Michele Rucker

Dance moves the spirit, soul, as well as the body. The body, with its skill moves rhythmically, the results visible and stirring. The soul; which is the intellect can even become moved by the moves the body can make. But OH! When the dance moves the spirit as well, it moves beyond oneself. The anointing of God, when upon the dance, enhancing the intellect and skill breaks the yokes. The anointing on the Prophetic dance will destroy everything that is not like God. The Prophetic dance will move one beyond what we see, what we can think and what we can feel. The Prophetic dance is the movement of God! it is the voice of the Lord speaking through a vessel who is surrendered! A vessel that is one with the master choreographer, who is God allows the Spirit of our Father to operate, to reveal His heart, His will and His power. It is not an art; the Prophetic dance is a ministry.

The Lord of the Prophetic dance will give us movement to a song that ministers to his people; but when He has a Word for His people by His Spirit He will shift everything you have choreographed and rehearsed. He will give us thoughts and movements we never imagined we would do or could do. To do this, however the Prophetic dancer must have the mind of Christ.

To accomplish this the dancer should have a life of prayer, communing with the Father and His Word; and even more importantly a lifestyle of worship. The heart must be pure before God and His people. Passion and compassion for the will of the Father to be released on earth. A willing, surrendered vessel can be a conduit, having a voice the Father can use to declare His word. Matthew: 6:10 declares, “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven; and this should be the declaration declaration of the Prophetic dancer, who moves beyond choreography.

“The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” Psalm 24:1.

It is very apparent by this scripture; our lives are not our own. This means that our gifts and callings are not ours to claim. They are His, and we are only stewards. This makes us accountable for what we do with those gifts. The Bible teaches us in I Corinthians 10:31: “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” Whatever we do in life, should be worship unto the Lord. This is how worship becomes a lifestyle.

What we do with our lives and our gifts, matter. When the gift and calling are yielded to the Lord, the gift receives a mandate with Kingdom responsibility attached. We must surrender our gifts back to the Father for the Holy Spirit to guide us to what we will do, and what we will say. We pray the Lord will guide us on what we will dance and what will be manifested thru it. The Kingdom agenda must be released on earth.

The Prophetic dance is not just dance, it is worship. It is ministry.
